I am over halfway into book 3 of That Which Devours. This book is coming together though Alex just discovered something that wasn’t on my plot outline and now we need to see what comes of it.

The cover artist got me a nice detailed sketch of the three picks from last week and I can’t wait to see the next steps. 

Last week was a rough week from childcare getting sick, so I needed to pause work and take care of my kiddo since my partner was traveling for work. I didn’t get as much editing as I wanted done, and that’s starting to weigh on me. This week, my goal is to get 8 more chapters done but focus the rest of my time on editing. I have 10 chapters waiting to be edited. If I can get those done, that’d make things so much easier.

I am still on track to get this book done this month, well at least the rough draft. This is important because in both April and May I am losing a week each month because of a convention or travel plans.

Last week I got a question from someone about the dinosaurs in the books and if they are Earths dinosaurs. 

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read further unless you want spoilers.

They aren’t Earth dinosaurs, and in fact, I’m not sure they are even dinosaurs though Alex has decided they are. The System translates information into a language that each individual person understands. Alex loved dinosaurs as a child and is translating the names of things into names she would recognize.
