Unreal Engine 5 - Binoculars (ALS #90)

This is episode 90 of the third-person shooter series based on Unreal Advanced Locomotion System.  Today, I am going to add a binocular to the system. Player will be able to equip the binoculars and looks through. The system will also support zoom in zoom out as well. Also, the binocular mesh will be hanging near the hip belt when not in use. When player press B, the character will put back the weapon if there is one in hand and get the binocular in hand and move it closer to the eyes. then, the scope view will appear which supports zooming in and out. Later on, I will add enemy tagging tot he system as well. project files

Thx , I’ve been able to uncompress. I think the server was timing out before the end. Working now!

No, I haven't received any complaints. May be a server issue. But let me try download again and see if it works. Your total download size should be around 3GB

I have done something like that in open world series. Hanging weapons in the back

Yes. Will you be making the binoculars attach to a socket. How do you enable physics on gun from a point so it dangles. Maybe put the binoculars dangling on a necklace.

do you mean keep grenades visible in a belt and hide if none available?

Great addition. can you do the Grenade the same way. If grenade count is = 0 then cancel action and set BPgrenade to hidden.
