Added 2025-01-18 14:01:01 +0000 UTCJessi here! For those requesting uncut videos….I fear that may never happen because it is unbearable to watch and would make no sense hahaha BUT I do wanna give you a glimpse at what I do for the podcast!!
I sometimes will help with assets but my main role is cutting the raw footage. Sometimes this is easier than others. What I’m showing you here is pretty easy - basic cutting with replacing footage when we interrupt each other.
I cut one half of the episode plus ads and my brother Joey cuts the other half. Once he sends that to me, I review his half and adjust it in any way it needs. Then I send the project to Lily and she places assets, colors it to make it look like we’re in the same room, and exports + uploads! Sometimes when we’re running behind I’ll take half of the episode and place assets, too.

Have you found programs that you like better? Do you enjoy editing for yourself more, or was it a bit easier when it wasn't you on the screen? (I'd love to hear Lily's thoughts too since she did the same thing!)

The best part was getting free access to all Adobe products and having the opportunity to chase internships and eventually student worker positions. I meet my current employer through an internship I did which was organized by the college. Look to see what's in your area! My certificate was 6 classes plus the internships/student jobs. I started taking classes when I was 36 and took a little extra time to finish them so I could extend my free Adobe access 😅😅

Though I do love the behind the scenes looks at Max, Lily's interior design, and Jessi making bread and just being funny. What I like the most is the depth of understanding and really knowing and getting each other that shows when you both talk. You mock and tease each other, but just watching last night's video, it again made me think once again that both of you would go to war with somebody who hurt the other. That's what makes it a comfort show for me, even when the topics get more serious.
