Weekly devlog! Medically approved edition

Hello all! It's time for another weekly devlog. Unfortunately, like last time, my health condition has not improved much. Before I get into that I want to let you know that there is a new background picture and nugg has concept art for Hannah that he is working on right now .

For the rest of this devlog I'm going to talk about my hands and their condition. I imagine this is going to be too verbose for most but I wanted to say it to give full transparency of what's going on in my life.

The original place I felt pain was in the tips of my ring and middle fingers. Now that no longer hurts, but the joints in my thumb do and they never hurt originally. I think my thumb joints are painful now because I use them more than usual to compensate for my other fingers hurting. But my thumb joints are now on the mend.

Either way, I still want to see a specialist before I continue working again. The reason for this is because it's definitely unusual to have pain in your joints that takes 3 weeks to heal and when I try typing now -- something I try to avoid as much as possible -- those original joints still feel weird. It also freaks me out that the condition seems to be hopping from joint to joint. It's really weird that every joint on my hand seems to be vulnerable and it all seems to have started at the same time. I'm concerned that if all the symptoms go away and I shrug and just start working again, it's only a matter of time before the pain comes back and I'm sure it will be worse next time.

What's been frustrating about this is it wasn't until a couple of days ago before I realized the right type of specialist to see for my condition. It is an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in hands. I thought that this was something you see a physical therapist or an occupational therapist about. For that reason, I called one of them first (I'm referring to 3 weeks ago) and they said it would be best if I went to a general practitioner to get a diagnosis before I see them. So I took their advice. In hindsight it was terrible advice and I wish they suggested I go to an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in hands first.

When I originally went to the general practitioner he said he wanted to give me a blood test. That seemed a little weird but I thought it could kind of make sense if I was low on a certain nutrient that was causing the problem. At the time I specifically asked him if this would tell him whether the problem is in my muscles my tendons my joints my cartilage or my bones. He said yes.

Fast forward to Monday where I was looking forward to/ nervous about the results and about getting a diagnosis. Turns out all the blood test could tell me is that I was normal for most nutrients and I didn't have rheumatoid arthritis. That's good but there's still like a dozen conditions that could cause what I'm experiencing and I have no idea which one of them it is.

Now I'm waiting on the results of an x-ray. I asked the x ray specialist there if it would tell me what part of my hand has an issue. The specialist told me that it could only tell me if I had a problem with my bones and maybe my joints based off of the spacing between them but not more than that.

As you can imagine, I'm frustrated by this because unless I have arthritis, I'm still going to have to run some tests next week to figure out what the problem is.

I'm still annoyed that my doctor said that the blood test would tell him where the problem lies and it didn't. he didn't even feel my hands to see where they are tender. I've concluded did this is a dud of a doctor. I'm just sorry it took a week or two to figure that out.I want to know what I've got so I can address it. By now I thought I would have a diagnosis and be treating it but it feels like I'm still trying to get started.

Anyway, after doing a lot of Internet research with my girlfriend, we discovered an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in hands is the right specialist to see for this problem so I scheduled an appointment with the best one I could find in my area yesterday. The problem is the earliest he can see me is the 23rd of October which is really far away. I've called at least five other orthopedic surgeons in the earliest they can see me is even later in the month.

I predict that the first thing that the specialist is going to want to do is run all the tests that my doctor should have done in the first place like an MRI or a CAT scan. What I'm trying to say is there might be a long journey ahead. I don't know if I'll be able to work on the game this month, at least not the development aspect of it.

I did have another idea though, maybe I could install a speak to type program and work on Academy of Fetishes in the meantime. I don't think I'm ready to do that just yet because my joints are still sore and to install the program would require more keyboard usage then I want to deal with, but it's probably something I could do before I see this specialist. What do y'all think about that idea?

Anyway I hope you're all having great weeks. I look forward to figuring out what my issue is, addressing it, and getting back to work on Monster Girl farmer! Thank you for your patience, I really appreciate it.
