Spooky Scary Skeletons - METAL COVER
Added 2017-10-31 00:29:51 +0000 UTCThis one was crazy fun. Jack (ToxicxEternity) always absolutely kills it whenever we work together, and this was no exception. He arranged the whole instrumental and I took his recordings and mixed it all up with my drum samples and whatnot, then threw down some sPoOooOoopy vocals - I thought I was going to need at least 5 layers of vocals in order to make it sound thick and scary enough, but I swiftly realized that the song sounded better with only one vocal layer, similar to the original with only one singer and no backup vocals.
There's some distinct advantages to simplicity in certain situations with vocal tracks - Usually I err on the side of overproduction, but this was an exception.
To some of you who have been around since year 1 of my channel, YES I already sang on a cover of this song with my friend BradyScott, but Brady has taken a break from YouTube and more or less deleted their channel (although Brady recently made that cover public again for the month of October alone) and I was a fetus when it comes to singing technique when I sang on that - I thought it was high time to give the song another metal shot with Jack since I was out of ideas for other fitting Halloween covers.
