R15: Industrial/SciFi Theme: Ducts, Fans, Ladders, Levers, Redstone Torches

Hey!
The new video:     Click here

Here we go, this is by far the most complex stuff I have done so far. I also experimented a lot with interior builds - I hope I can inspire some of you to build similar stuff.

Basically this is the "Release 15" but the file does no longer contain all the previous ones as I mentioned in my last post.  I am providing one individual pack for each release, so you can mix whatever blocks you need, by simply OVERLAYING this Pack on top of R14 (in the Resource-Pack selection menu)  The more blocks are loaded, the worse is performance! This is the reason I do not want to create one single huge pack that becomes laggier with each update. As I said hundreds times before: I do not create a regular "Resource-Pack".

The last post was a work-in-progress release, this here is the finished version.

Whats new?

I added a lot of details, especially to the ventialtion ducts (or as we call them: Cyberducts)
To save file size it only uses 1 Texture file. I played around with the UV mapping to get some random/complex results without wasting FPS by using multiple textures.

This release was by far the most time consuming so far, some very detailed models. Because of the now higher amount of details I will also provide 2048x resolutions for this release - and upcoming ones.

I also reworked the patreon page with the new tiers and separate download posts etc. , as I mentioned in my last post. Please check the tiers out!

About the video:      A lot of people ask why I put stuff like  furnaces, paintings or players into the scenes, if they don't have a Texture.   It is an artistic decision and there actually is a reason:   I love to break the immersion.  Realistic Graphics and pixel-art objects - Two worlds colliding.  Similar to Zetterstrand's work. (he created the paintings in Minecraft, they are actually real paintings.)
I personally think it would be boring to just have realistic scenes - It could be done in any other Software like Unreal Engine. It's more impressive to see that this is actually all running in Minecraft. And I think it's hilarious if you suddenly see a blocky Steve running around in a House that could be straight from Mirror's Edge.

enable full raytrace reflections in raytracing options

This is a good texture

Rajajayan Jayaseelan

Yep, that did it, thanks! Looks awesome!

Bill Baran

Hey! Have you tried to enable "Full Raytrace Reflections" in the Shader Settings --> RayTracing Options? This is very important. Also, you need to have "Specular Maps" enabled in the Shader selection menu. I can't think of anything else that could cause this. I updated the link, thanks a lot for letting me know!

Love this new pack. But for some reason my vents are more white and not a reflective metal. Do you know why? Reread the release notes for the last couple packs and didn't see anything. Also the guide is missing at https://umsoea.com/info1/guide15

add shaders

hi u did not upload the 512x base file

id try help but ur fake pewdiepie soooo

Peter Mainwaring

I introduced the 1024x to my Minecraft, but the metal wasn't reflective. Is there a solution?

i think you can get all the downloads on his discord channel.

I cant seem to find the files for the complete gameplay 512 - 2k any range

Melissa Ralston

I have the same questions!

I have everything set up, all the texture packs are activated, but I only have the R14 stuff. What do I do?

Also, when looking at glass, with r11 you can see textures of chicken and with R13 you can see roses textures, also stone bricks reflect in wet surface command blocks in r11 and nether portals in r13 https://imgur.com/a/bgt1pTh

Hello! As a suggestion, you should do a texture for end rods, as many of us use them as fluorescent lamps, so you should do a texture that looks like it, also, iron texture is bugged using PTGI E12, it looks pretty odd but it looks ok using SEUS renewd 1.0.1 https://imgur.com/a/bNicoqX

The grass in my Minecraft still looks like the normal texture, not like the one its supposed to be

hello ive download the r14 1024x but for some reason one of the grass blocks is really weird and tottaly un realistic just was wondering if thats only me or its for everyone?

need help for some reason my textures arent loading. Im pretty sure ive followed all the steps

I'm having a problem: As it seems, the R14 is needed. But it seems unavailable for 512er resolutions, because no download link for R14 at 512 is to be found. Therefore, i sadly cannot test it.

I am sorry, if this is clear, but is this 1.15.2 combatible. Furthermore, if I am correct, R16 contains everything from R15 and below? Thanks in advance

make it possible on molblei

Hey, yes, pretty much correct. "R" just means "release", it's not a version of a continuous project. The idea: People can browse my posts and if they like something, they can find all the information on how to get the exact same result ingame. (Same versions, settings, the map etc.) The reason I don't haven't a breakdown like this is because most people are just loading all packs and then complain that it does not look like in my Screenshots/Videos. Each texture is designed for a specific scene and only looks it best with very specific settings/shader version etc... As I always say: all this is not for regular Minecraft players - It's all about (ab)using Minecraft as 3D software. Thanks a lot for your support!

umsoea

So I've been subscribed for a while and haven't stopped by in a bit. I'm really trying to understand what all the R's mean and I'm not totally sure if I'm getting it. I think it would be nice to have a simple breakdown of each like this: R16: Only Leather, Concrete, Procedural Textures with nothing from previous releases (up to 2048x) R15: Only industrial/SciFi Themed textures with nothing from previous releases (up to 2048x) R14: The last pack before switching to new releases only containing additional content. This pack contains everything from R14 and earlier. (up to 1024x. Most but not all of the R14 textures are also available in 2048x in the highlights pack) R13: Contains everything from R13 and earlier R12: Contains everything from R12 and earlier R11: etc. etc. Is this correct?

Is itpossible to get the redstone hidef working in 512x?
