Hotfix 4, 2048x Highlights, Side-Pack 2 and a quick review of 2019
Added 2019-12-31 16:31:00 +0000 UTCHey! I promised to release something before the end of the year. I have a few small but interesting things for you:
- Hotfix 4: Finally I could fix (some) Reflection bugs and issues with glowing blocks. Emerald Blocks and Redstone Lamps emit light properly now.
- 2048x Highlights Pack, containing the original files from: Enchanting table (+ 8K Book Texture), Gray Concrete, Stripped Oak Log, Black Concrete, Redstone Lamps, Emerald Block, Gold and Iron Block, Obsidian. Most people will not notice a difference, It's only for the graphics nerds :)

- Side-Pack 2 (various test-stuff) Contains the textures from the R14 house scene. Added ladder models/textures, Gray Concrete Block, Slabs, Thin walls. Added an RGB block that changes color over time. Added a white glowing block that does not give off any light. Added a black block that gives off white light. Added metal architectural panels = iron trapdoors (same model is applied to dark_oak_trapdoor for easier use, the holes are created by stacking multiple 2d planes, I will probably also add them to the main pack).
I also added a simple, clean hotbar, gui buttons. Let me know what you think about that, not sure if you want something like that in the main-pack.

(animated RGB glow)
- Modified block. properties files for SEUS PTGI to fix lighting glitches for my custom models. Models like Bookshelves, the trapdoors and other custom models should now work properly without needing to change the Geometry Trace quality.
A NOTE about PTGI: I personally prefer PTGI E10 over E11 in most cases, mainly due to the blue sky, especially before sunrise and after sunset.
I made them for both E10 and E11.
I'd also like to review what we accomplished this year. Throwback to December 2018:
Because I was really obsessed with the physics of light (for drawing, 3D Rendering, etc), I discovered SEGI and SEUS PTGI in it's very early development stages, and I was blown away instantly. Long before before the hype.
I knew that this had so much potential and in January I decided to start my YouTube channel where I uploaded a few Tech Demo Videos and Showcases of the shader. I wanted to create a hype. At first nobody believed it and people thought I would fake my videos in 3D software, which some people still believe today. I started making my own textures for the videos in order to show off what the shader is capable of.
After some time, finally a few videos went viral and other people started making videos or shared the news on Twitter etc.
The last months I spent a lot of time to lean how to do more than just textures. Custom Models, Multipart Blockstates, CTM, etc. I want to keep pushing minecraft's graphics and do stuff that most people would never think is possible with this game. There is still so much room for improvement and I will give my best to learn how to get the most out of Minecraft and Seus PTGI.
Thank you so much for support!
I wish you all a happy new year!

2020-06-30 18:37:19 +0000 UTCAre you adjusting the Xms and Xmx java arguments? I find the ram effects performance the most. I generally set Xms to 2048m and Xmx to 8192m.

2020-03-11 12:50:58 +0000 UTCWhat shader do you use?
2020-01-30 02:29:51 +0000 UTCThese are so gorgeous. Is there no way (please??) to get these in 256x? I'd like to be able to actually play the game with the same setup I'd upscale for screenshots. I mean, I've got 32GB of memory and a 1080 with 8GB of video memory, and this thing still drops to the 8-15 fps range in scenarios like amplified worlds. I've narrowed down the FPS culprit to this pack (well, UMSOEA packs in general), and I would just love to have it in 256, if at all possible. It would make it so much more playable. Thanks!
