2025-03-29 02:32:44 +0000 UTCI love "Metroidvanias," but I prefer them to be more "Metroid" than "Vania." I’ve never fully connected with Castlevania games. I had a huge disappointment with Axiom Verge, the first game was totally METROID-like, and I absolutely fell in love with it. But when the sequel came out, it was more "Vania" than "Metroid," and I didn’t enjoy it at all, even dropped it. Since then, I've been avoiding games that lean more toward Castlevania than Metroid. But for this waifu, I’m willing to make the sacrifice.

If folks like Metroidvanias, you gotta try out a game made by one of the founders of the genre. All that said, this art is fantastic! Cannot wait to see more, as always.
