About character suggestion process

Guys, I’ve been thinking about the character suggestion process.

My idea was to put all the suggested characters up for a poll, but then I realized that if I do that, everyone will just vote for their own character and there won’t be a clear winner. So, I thought I could limit the number of characters I take from each suggestion round. But don’t get discouraged, keep suggesting! Remember, if your character is suggested for 3 months, they’ll be placed on a waiting list to be drawn no matter what.

I was also considering putting all the suggested characters up for a poll. I believe Patreon allows up to 20 options per poll and allowing multiple votes. That way, the most voted character would simply win.

What do you prefer: a limited number of characters with one vote per person, or all characters listed with multiple votes allowed?

Right now, it might be manageable, but as more people join and the Patreon grows, the waiting list might get longer than I can handle. To avoid future issues, I’ve come up with a few ideas.

Increase the number of months you have to keep suggesting your character. This would be in case there are too many people, making it unfeasible to get to all of them.

Set a limit for the waiting list. I’m thinking of maybe capping the list at 10 characters. This will help prevent an overwhelming backlog until I finish the existing suggested character list.

Don’t hesitate to leave your suggestions. I want to make Patreon as fair as possible for everyone, but at the same time, I need it to be manageable for me to keep up with everything I promise.

Since we’re just getting started, I’m not sure if the options I’m considering will work for everyone or for me in the long run. 😆
