Hello, Roscoe! First, no one is perfect. Asking for help is not selfish (a thought you mentioned MANY times). Community is defined by give and take. Let us all make each day a bit better for another. Second, when a behavior is repeated, it is a habit. Sometimes a habit can be disguised as a coping mechanism. You have done it before, it must have been successful, and it is a comfortable behavior. You had mentioned a big project that you want to see succeed. I am throwing out a thought. Could you be anxious about the success of your project? I am trying to break my avoidance coping mechanism due to depression and anxiety. It is really hard to break some of my "coping" behaviors. Last, be careful of making decisions for your spouse. If my husband was going through a difficult time and hid this from me thinking I have too much on my plate, I'd be upset. We've been together over 35 years. I am here for him as he has been there for me. Now, feel free to say I'm full of baloney :) I can completely relate to this Live (except the getting up before dawn) to feeling another cycle has arrived. Be kind to yourself. πŸ’œ

Roscoe, I'm so sorry you're struggling. I wish I had some wise advice, but unfortunately I too have similar cycles and battle with anxiety and depression. Sometimes when I feel lost it really helps to hear from someone that I'm not alone and that someone cares. So please know you're not alone, and you have me and so many others that care about you. I hope you find some peace soon. πŸ’œ
