2025-08-10 19:13:38 +0000 UTCCalypso is not a good person, but I think a lot of interpretations take liberties with her and assign crimes she didn't actually commit, namely SA (which she does in the OG myth but not in Epic), and imprisonment. A lot of watchers forget, or aren't aware of the context, that she is also trapped on the island and things which are on the island cannot leave, nor is it discoverable by others. ("no one can come or go, my island stays unknown"). Ody 'washed up' on the island because it was a punishment by the gods. He would not have been able to leave regardless of Calypso, if Zeus hadn't decided to set him free after God Games.

2025-08-02 03:23:25 +0000 UTCIn “get in the water” at the very and when polites, eury and his mom shows up the animatic gives the impression that they are helping him, but I always took it as they telling him to just give up and join them in the underworld, same as when they sing in “love in paradise” all the times they show up I feel like they want ody to just give up and die especially when I’m just hearing the songs
