2:47: 3 years ago on the Maker Fair Hannover they were "joking" at the PTB booth that the successor is the same just with a black front. Seems it was no joke at all :)

2019-12-16 11:05:17 +0000 UTC25 years ago, I went to a German trade show. It was the major agricultural expo at the Hannover Messe. As a US midwesterner, I was only used to state fairs. I could not fathom the enormity of agribusiness in Europe and how cool and professional it was. Of course my favorite of all was the boiled egg machine, pumping out thousands of perfectly boiled eggs for the visitors. My brother-in-law was working for the US National Pork Producers. This was before confinement feeding came to Missouri. I knew what was next for the thousands of pork producers in Missouri, Sure enough, in ten years they were all out of business as pork production shifted to confinement in Missouri. It was an apocalypse for many of the small farmers where I live. In any case, I loved your little visit south to this trade show. Trying to plan a European vacation again. Need to figure out what's on the schedule for a big trade show in February. Thanks for sharing this journey.
