Video candidates for June (+many more months)

There has been only one thing I managed to do in the heat wave of the past week: Taking dogs to the pond. But cool stuff keeps piling up:

1. Fiber laser EP02:

2. Spectrum analyzer EP01:

3. Precision motion control EP2:

4. OSMU Rev2:

5. Soldering stations showdown:

6. Tektronix MDO3104:

7. Tinkerforge EP02:

And as if this wasn't enough there are also a few product video possibilities, none of these have arrived yet (luckily 😓) some have only been suggested and not accepted yet:

Whadya think? Anything particularly exciting, trends I am missing, boring items that can wait?

You know in your heart what you must do. Quit your day job and make videos full time ;-))

Alborz

you should do all of them, 10/10 not to much work ;)

Prying

Option 5 of course ;-)

Holger Barske

I would like more of topic #4.... and doggies. That doggy knew exactly where to go hehe.

Holger P Kleinert

Indeed! Need a powerful single board computer for the computer vision, then I could think of a few fun applications

Anycubic has just been shown by a 'colleague' so that's cancelled for now, but the other 2 are pretty much guaranteed :)

Marco Reps

Yes! I've shown the possibility in my RTB2004 video, but didn't finish it in time ... now with a new logic analyzer it's time to do it. (Although I thin it's just super simple UART communication anyway)

Marco Reps

I have made the same with a super cheap 12V fan and even that works well BUT I really want one with segmented pipes and a big box standing on the floor, because I often find myself not using the freely standing desktop one for a "quick solder joint". If it is always there, doesn't take up space and turns on automatically with the soldering iron there'll be no way of ever not using it :)

Marco Reps

On the subject of soldering fumes, I made a soldering filter by mating a 200mm Noctua PWM fan with this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XNPGNY9/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 in a 3d printed enclosure. Works extremely well if I say so myself.

Keithley 2001 OLED display? As in hacking it to work with a different display? From a general standpoint I'd be very interested in that, so many things come with unusable displays.

Morten Hanasand

OSMU, Anycubic and ONETESLA are really cool subjects.

I would love to get an update on the OSMU!

I'd like to see more on topic #3, the precision motion control. But, the 3D camera would be interesting, particularly coupled with vision software :-)

Pace have apparently delivered a few defect tips and got a bad YouTube video in return, now they have to re-check everything which delays things a bit. Unisolder actually supports Paces TD100 system, TD200 (delivered with ADS200) might be very similar?

Marco Reps

Me too! Will try and order Rev2 PCBs before starting the spectrum analyzer, then I should have a week of waiting time to spare.

Marco Reps

The soldering station Shootout. I want to replace my TS100, and the Pace ADS200 is intruiguing. Or Unisolder? I would be really interested in that video. DIY active differential probe - Sounds very interesting too. Whatever you chose, I'll be looking forward to them anyway.

Marco Vujevic

I'd personally love to see more on OSMU and then the spectrum analyzer.
