Two weeks back we revealed a cannon and housing. You all correctly called it out as belonging to the M163 VADS. Well today we have more WIP imagery of this 20mm rotary cannon being mounted
First produced in 1965, the M163 VADS was a mainstay air defense system that replaced the M42 Duster. With a 3000RPM rate of fire, the amount of 20x102mm rounds this platform can put downrange was primarily limited by how much it could carry.
The M163 saw service in most American fronts until it was phased out and replaced by the Avenger ADS and M6 Linebacker.
