Makeover Series: Emily
Added 2019-08-02 00:22:48 +0000 UTCMy very first comic character from my very first comic. Why did it take me so long to give her a makeover? I dunno. Emily was introduced in My Date with Emily, which was inspired by a short Bojay strip on ararchive.com called Boxers and Briefs, which I have attached. also attached is one of the very first images I made of her from MDWE, and her defense of the Vault from Virtual Reality 5.
Certainly one of the more powerful witches, she has the unique ability to cast spells by mumbling. Kind hearted to her friends, a terror to her enemies. She gave Genie a childhood. She turned her good friend into an infant at her request. She loves children but is punitive as a Cleaner, dumping Ellie in the dungeon as a 7 year old after an infraction.
Her defense of the Academy Vault alone against an angry Djinn was awe inspiring. She showed no fear against impossible odds, and bought enough time for Sara to arrive. She deserved a makeover and got one.

Haha. Thanks. I was just kidding, not fishing for anything. I think if I was asked what the best comic I ever did was, I would say Evil Girlfriend. It's just great on so many different levels, and was essentially the foundation of my entire world. When it was done I had to do Intro to Archeology, because I didn't want Devon and Erin to be gone. I love those two.

2019-08-02 16:53:09 +0000 UTCSnerk. If you're fishing for complements, you've succeeded. My Date with Emily is the first story of yours that I've ever read, followed by Evil Girlfriend. By this point I had fallen in love with your work. And while you have written many stories since then that I like more such as "An Unexpected Way to Spend a Saturday" and "Missadventures At The Mall", they are primarily better because the stories are a lot longer so the reader gets to spend more time enjoying them. No, your stories have not gone down hill. But since it's kind of hard to improve on perfection it's kind of hard for you to top yourself other than by you writing more stories, longer stories, move involved stories. As I've said many time before, you're AWESOME!

2019-08-02 01:14:12 +0000 UTCThat was what she was originally based on ..I had no idea , I remember this as I was a huge fan of Bojay’s work long ago and of course, an avid fan of the Arachive site 😆 I can’t believe I didn’t even think about this when I first read MDWE 😁 BTW, I love Emily’s new look..can’t wait to see it in a new story!
