Hiatus announcement

I don’t want to do this. I’ve been actively avoiding doing it, cutting into how many chapters I post per week and trying to use my weekend to catch up as much as possible with late chapters on Patreon. I ran out of backlog when Book 1 ended and ever since then I’ve never managed to get ahead.
Trying to balance my job, this serial, and the rest of my life has been a trial, and one that has been wearing me down. Pressure on all fronts has been increasing, and I need to relieve it somehow on one of them, at least for long enough that I don’t feel constantly overwhelmed.
Sorry. I really do not want to do this, but my writing has been decreasing for the last month and I’d rather take a shorter break and come back later than potentially never even finishing book 2.
The current planned time off is a month, and if that changes for shorter or longer I will let you know.
On Royal Road and Scribblehub, the Friday chapter is already scheduled and it coming out will mark the beginning of the hiatus.
On Patreon, I will be pausing payments and they will not be re-enabled until I am releasing chapters and they are back up to seven chapters ahead of the publicly available ones.
