RaceMenu 0.4.19.3 AE 1.6.323

This is the preliminary version of RM for Skyrim Anniversary Edition. Expect bugs or broken functionality, I don't have the mods to reach testing coverage.

Get the preliminary SKSE version

This version is feature complete, if you notice any missing functionality that comes standard with RM please post the steps and expected result. You may be expecting a third party plugin to work that is not associated with RM.

The following functionality I have personally tested:

Edit: Updated from 0.4.18 to 0.4.19, fixed broken extended sliders. Seems they were working but only if loaded from preset or a save game, fixed the hook to capture all code paths.

Edit2: Updated from 0.4.19 to 0.4.19.1 fixed more broken mod functionality where I mistakenly broke version checks via SKSE.GetPluginVersion("skee") as I changed the plugin name accidentally due to an API change in SKSE and how it receives data about the plugin.

New Console Commands:

Each of the above console commands will dump metrics from the specific subsystems, more verbose output will be directed to the log in My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE/skee64.log

New INI Settings:

[Hooks]
; Debugging use only, these disable hooks in the game which affect various features
bBipedAttach=1

bHeadProcessing=1
bFaceOverlays=1

These new ini settings are mainly for debugging purposes to neuter functionality at the hook level to narrow down broken or buggy functionality on the user-end.

Note that you do NOT need to alter skee64.ini you may create your own skee64_custom.ini which will override the settings under the specified categories.

So just a question but how difficult would it be to have racemenu use address library? Just wondering bc if it used address library then you'd be able to focus on more important problems or issues without needing to update the dll whenever skyrim gets updated

I'll likely get started on the new version fairly soon. I'm also looking to potentially fix the overlay not sticking on load issue despite not being able to reproduce.

This is my first Patreon support that I have started. This guy deserves it I'm usually very prudent with this stuff but Expired has supported us for a very long time and this is well deserved Gl dude.

Come on, give 'em a break. It's not like Bethesda will. It's the fourth time in a month Bethesda updates the engine, breaking all SKSE plugins in the process. I don't know what Expired's day job is, how many kids they have to diaper or dogs to walk, but they're certainly not making a living off the Nexus funds from Racemenu. All these mod authors are HOBBYISTS. Cut them some slack.

so I have never used this mod before until about a week ago so I didn't have any presets previously and I don't have the option for sculpt or presets. I went back and made sure I had the script extender right and made sure nothing else was conflicting with it but I still don't have a presets tab or a sculpt tab regardless of what version of RM I use.

Can you let me know how you did that? I used the same colors for almost everything and it still didn't stick for me. :(

Do you happen to use Enhanced character edit?

Booby Booby Bum Bum I think I'm a Dum Dum but I can't get any of the sliders, sculpts or, or presets features to appear. My gut tells me there's some .ini option that isn't set but I can't find anything either here or on the nexus mod page.

O.k., bit more testing over lunch. Paired this up with Simple Dual Sheath and they seem to be working flawlessly together. RM lets me adjust weapon positions for both right and left hands and the changes persist from session to session.

Did a little more testing...I had the same problem as Anna K when applying a texture to a Body Paint slot. On reloading the game the texture was gone. I was able to make the texture "stick" from game session to game session by using the Save Color option, but I'm pretty sure I didn't have to do that before.

Hi I haven't had the chance to test this a whole lot, but the sliders all seem to work, as does preset import (including some apachii sky hairs). I tested getting killed after applying RM values and experienced no oddities. I haven't used the sculpting feature. Also, I was able to get this to work with Enhanced Character Edit (I need ECE for certain assets) as usual by unpacking the RM BSA, repackaging RM as a set of loose files in .7z format and installing it after ECE. Letting RM overwrite ECE worked just as it did before. BTW, Ronald, HDT-SMP is non-functional on the current build of Skyrim (1.6.323) so KS Hairdos with physics can't work.

Hi!! Thank you so much for updating this. I can confirm that it'll open correctly in game, but when I relaunch the game all of my tattoos and such added disappear. I just wanted to post a quick thing to see if anyone else experienced it. Happy Holidays and thanks again 💕

Yeah I still get that, but I doubt Race Menu's the cause. All the Race Menu functionality seems to be working (more or less) flawlessly.

Is anyone able to get KS Hairdo with physics mod working? I'm still getting CTDs when selecting hairstyles. Wondering if I need to wait for more updates from other mods.

I tested it some more and it only happens in case the system loads from a quicksave or automatic save after character death. With the system loading from a hard save I end up on the mainpage instead.

I decided to get on Patreon and support Expired. I've used Racemenu for years and it's awesome to see you're continuing to support AE. Keep up the great work! (also, Chinastone, I get the same CTD on my modded AE after dying. No idea why, but also have a feeling it's SKSE related. If you load just before you take the 'last hit', you'll be able to load as normal.)

I tested the last version and everything works fine. Still need to check why I crash to desktop everytime my character dies.

I don't know what cotr is but they shouldn't work any different from existing ones. I'll have a look at sculpt export or import I had not personally tried it.

RM doesn't come with those but with 0.4.19.1 custom sliders should be showing up now if they had plugin name checks.

Almost all sliders work for me except custom ones like cotr, but the game crashes while trying to export sculpt :/

Having the same issue, as well as body, hand and foot paints having no options

Looks good so far except i install 3BA, choose the correct options, and i run bodyslide, but the 3ba morphs do not appear in racemenu in game. It's just all empty.

Most of the sliders are dead basically just getting vanilla options to work. Body scaling is non functional can't change any thing other than weight.

High Heels Support is back, loading presets as well. The rest needs more work...

Just tested this update with an old and fresh save with nothing but SKSE, Unofficial Patch and RaceMenu and it appears that a large majority of the sliders do not work. The vanilla options such as changing nose type etc. work, however, the width sliders for nose/many others does not. Just thought I'd let ya know, thanks for the update though!!!

I dont know if I did something wrong but I installed once manually and it didn't load then a second time before attempting a mod manager download and still doesn't load RM properly. Not sure if it helps but changing the hair ctd.

Probably issue with XPMSE. I had some other mod-driven sliders in my load order that were showing up.

Don't know if this is a racemenu issue or XPMSE but with XPMSE NiOverride Plugin is -1 so not loading I assume and SKEE plugin is -1 also so not loading.
