May Update! What's cooking?

Hello again everyone! It has been one heck of a slow year so far, and also a very chaotic one too.

I often get messages from fans who ask me if there are other platforms where they can support me from, and sadly, there are currently no alternatives. All the artists I've followed on Pixiv and fanbox personally, are no longer active here, and I didn't see them produce more content sadly. I will keep producing the content that I produce, but not only the damn NSFW market got unfriendly for 3D artists, the SFW market too.

If you didn't notice, lots of studios got closed down since a year now, and lots of workers got fired. I was one of them, and I was struggling for a few months, but I should soon get on my feet in a month or two. Putting personal problems and politics aside, I didn't post any content recently because I've set the bar too high.

Book Club is still in production, and I will publish it sooner or later. It won't take me 5 years like SouthernShotty's on youtube for a 13 minute short animation, but I had so far 2 main problems on the project. The first is burnout, and every artist suffers from it once in a while. Southern talks about that too in his Q&A, I think mine lasted about 3 months, with forcing myself to work both my IRL job, and Pixiv hobby. Second reason is bottleneck on Blender. Some important addons got messed up, and I've basically split the project in half, in which the first part will be on older blender, and the second part will wait for Blender 4.2 LTS release, for stability and time to let addons get fully updated.

Book Club got postponed this month until July, and I worked on a project animation loop with my good old younger Ellie model, and more mature, larger Bolt, where they both get naughty in her Jackson room. If you remember that one poll that I made, the majority voted on "Long animations with Story", with second place "Long animations without Story". Book club tackles that, but I think I'll focus more on high quality comics with story.

The reason behind this is, I think it's better to put the mind to work with erotic images and rich background and context, rather than a looped animation, or than a nice long animation that takes way too long to produce. I love how Drills3D (selfdrillingsms) makes these high quality animations, but he takes just so long to make them. I miss extremexworld, because that was a comic production on a regular basis, with good stories and visual support. I really hate RenPy, because it's lots of pointless text dialogues with static images for a long time, and really bad graphics for my liking.

I do plan spending lots of time on inventing my own much faster sex oriented animation system, but that's after I finish current projects. So far, to achieve realistic smooth animations, I need to use layers for each animation stacking them one on top of the other, while using a lot of "helpers" objects to control the animation. This makes modifying or changing the animations harder after work has been done on it, or even reuse it on different projects. Complicated I know. Though, I think I will start accepting commissions while working on that one. Don't hesitate to message me with your own, I try to keep a list ^^

I think it's time to change the links with the next release because they've been up since a few months. I expect to release it somewhere in June, taking the time to polish the animation and perfect the light. It's going to be the first project using light groups, which is basically the ability to telling a light to only affect one object or multiple ones in a scene, allowing more better and controlled lighting.

So in conclusion, the world economy is a bit shit for artists, no releases because ambitions too big, gonna still finish them but will make more high quality story and sex oriented comics. Links through newsletters and messaging have to stay, because that's my only workaround to stay on pixiv.
