Happy Holidays ! - Update

Hi! First of all, I wish everyone happy x-mas, or holidays, whenever you're celebrating something or not ^^

I've been working this month on an ambitious xmas special, for which sadly I didn't have enough time to fully complete yet. This is why I'm releasing "early access" content ^^

You will find a new 2023.X-Mas_Special folder in the drives. It contains 3 animation loops, and the thumbnail image.

I was planing a total of 6 animation loops, but I encountered some technical difficulties with the 4.0 version of blender that will require some further examination. It's probably new python errors, caused by some backward compatibility issues. On top of the animations, I wanted to do create a few still images with text to follow up ^^

After I release this and the book club, I'll definitely tone down with the ambitiousness of my projects, to release content more consistently <3

But this x-mas special had a different goal, and not just to have a release. Usually, for a loop like the missionary which is 15 seconds, I would need a week of rendering time. I am happy to announce that with my current workflow, I managed to render this scene in about 16 hours! I figured out how to use temporal anti aliasing along with the denoise. This means that I only need 200 samples instead of 1000+ for a good looking image without noticeable flickering.

In the meanwhile, I'll continue working on the few things I wanted to do on the x-mas special, and then back to book club project! I'm not sure if I'll do a pass on the audio, because it would take quite some time on top of that. If you're eager to do it yourself, feel free to go for it! I can even provide some audio samples that I have.

When I'll finish the x-mas special, I will release it on my pixiv <3
