Book Club - Update !

Hi! I'm happy to make a new post about what's going on with the latest animation ^^

With the release of Blender 4.0, I have migrated the project in order to do the lighting and rendering of the first part of the animation. The update is great, breaking a few things though, which I have now fixed manually.

The animation have 2 parts. The first part is the intro, where the story of Bolt and Ellie develops downstairs in the book club, and later, they go upstairs to the attic to try new things ;). The upstairs is the second part of the animation. I have today, completed the first part of the animation, which is about 2 minutes, with dialogue. I still need to tweak the lip sync with audio, but the main goal was to start rendering the shots where you can't see the face.

Now I can work on the second part of the animation, while rendering the first one when I'm not using the PC. This should allow me to finish the animation much much sooner than predicted. Initially I planned the release for march, but with Blender 4.0 update, and a few days of trial and error with temporal anti aliasing denoising and motion blur bugs, I think I found a satisfying result to avoid flickering. I didn't test it on the fur yet, but renders without Bolt take about 1 minute to render, and with Bolt, about 4 minutes. Yes, fur is always the problem. If it's going to be too big of a problem, I should still find a middle ground solution.

Since it's only a month till x-mas, I don't have that much crunch at work now, so I'm focusing all my efforts on the animation and rendering. I will plan on releasing some sort of special gift for my supporters though! Probably also do a public post because it's been a while :P I will definetly stick to much shorter animations after this release, because it's very time consuming, and I hate to make everyone wait while pressuring myself ^^
