Rie’s Story Rie Kaisho sat in her room following an unexpected and terrible day. She was dressed in a lovely blue ball gown. But now she sat worried as if counting how much time she had left. “This can’t really be it can it…” She says worried to herself. Earlier that day she had been sent in her father’s stead to a party organized by Shinjitsu Kano. He was the president of the Kano Trading Company. Rie’s father and members of the Japan’s Prosecutor office intend to arrest him on charges of fraud. As their rumors about his business practices being illegal. He had planned to arrange the party as part of political stunt to prove himself innocent and to gain more support from the public. “How could they have fooled us… We are innocent…” Said Rie to herself. But the people and the courts had already decided. “I… I didn’t kill him.” Rie was now a murderess. During the Ball Shinjitsu Kano had been murdered before he could deliver his speech. Rie had decided to take charge in the murder investigation along with her father. But little did she know it was all planned. “That woman… Dressed like Belle. She set me up. Why won’t anyone believe me!” Cried Rie as she collapsed on her couch crying. Remembering the day. She had drunk from a champagne glass and fainted. She was taken to room outside hall. As such, she was gone from the scene. Incriminating her, when she returned and had decided to head the investigation. Kano’s supporters had suspect her of the murder and that her father wasn’t a cunning detective. Rie was in overhead. She failed follow the right clues and walked right into the true killer’s trap. The knife used to kill Kano had been the one Rie used earlier in the party to eat some food. As such, all the evidence pointed to her and by extension her father. “Am I… Really going to die…” She says as she finishes sobbing. She gets up from her couch and looks to the box her made had prepared. She gulped. The sentence rings clearly still. “Rie Kaisho. You will be executed by force suicide. You shall hang yourself until death.” Said a judge that had come to the ball. Her father would likely be executed as well but publicly. “At least… I get to die privately.” She says trying to find any positive in her situation. She sighed and walked to her mirror and sat down. He decided to pretty herself off. The last time she would, and to at least make herself look as lovely as a lady could. “If I am to die… I should look my best at least.” She says she finishes prettying herself up. She then got up and made sure her dress was perfect when suddenly the door swung open. “You are taking too long Ms. Kaisho. I have been sent here to make sure you preform your sentence.” Says a man in black suit as he walks in. Rie cowards a bit in fire, unsure of who this man might be. “I was about to step on that box.” She points to it. “No need to watch over me.” She says worried of what he might do to her. “I have my instructions.” He said as he grabbed Rie by her arm and brought her to the box and noose. Rie gulped as she saw the noose. “Climb up, we are waiting.” He says. “Wait… We!?” She asked surprised. He pulled out a camera. We will record her dance. Rie could believe it. She was going to be watched hanging. “You are going to hang yourself. I suggest you do it now.” He says impatiently. Rie sighed and climbed up the box and noosed herself up. “Any last words murderess Rie Kaisho?” asked the man in a mocking tone. “I am innocent of this murder and so if my father.” She declared and took one final deep breathed and closed her eyes. She grabbed the edges of her skirt and lifted them up slightly as if she was walking. Showing off her pretty heels and stockings. She then walked off the box, kicking it way from her. “Gah…” Was the last word out of Rie Kaisho’s mouth. She then hanged in her gown. She kicked frantically and clutched at her noose in a desperate attempt to free herself. It would for naught as she soon realized there was no escape. ‘Might as well enjoy it.’ She thought to herself, she tried to pick the rim of her dress with one hand and raised her other weakly. She then tried to replicate a ball room dance. Her face had gone from a fair and pale complexion to a bright red one. As she dance soon her movement became slower and she could only lightly kick and swing her arms around. Her face had now turned deep red, tears ran down her face and sweat. ‘This it… Goodbye world…’ She thought as her dance came to an end, she hanged limply. Her eyes remained open, they were cloudy and devoid of life. Her mouth hanged open as her tongue stuck a little bit. “Good.” Says the man as he turns off the recording and walks up to the now dead Rie. “Thank you for your part in all of this. Rest easy knowing you’re sacrifice was not in vain.” He then left her there in her room and left. When her maid arrived, she removed Rie from the noose. With her father in prison, she had tried to arrange for a funeral but instead her body taken from her. She was set up to all see in the same room Kano had been murdered. A new party was celebrated in honor of her death with her main attraction. Swinging limply from the roof.
