Awesome! I didn't think that deeply about why he spoke that way but its fun to know the backstory for it. I'm starting to learn that there's a background reason for practically everything in this show. I think Arya choosing the tickler was completely reasonable for all the reasons you stated. Also I definitely judged Jaqen wrong when we first met him. Idk if I would've saved him like Arya did, but its clear her good heart helped her in the long run.

A fun thing about Jaqen and how he speaks - it's a fun cultural thing that we don't get to see much of! The island Jaqen is from is called Lorath, and all Lorathi nobility refer to themselves in the third person, preferring to say "a man" or "a woman" instead of "I" or "me". Referring to yourself in the first person is considered vulgar in Lorath. I'm glad you didn't get mad at Arya for picking the tickler! Basically every other person I've ever seen gets upset that she "wasted" her first death, and yeah she acted on impulse and for sure wasn't planning this but it turned out to be pretty smart in my opinion. She doesn't know Jaqen, if he's serious, if he's trustworthy, if he's any good at killing, ect. He could have easily been messing with her, and if she gave him Tywin's name out of the gate he could easily get her in trouble for that. Testing him out on some lowborn jerk that nobody really liked anyway was a good way to test those waters. "'I'm the ghost in Harrenhal' She thought. Yep Theon's folks are currently my least favorite family other than the Lannisters. Oh I love that they gave Roy a small role in the show! I'm sad to hear he passed. Ok i'm glad to hear that Stannis has a bit of a heart in the books. It felt kind of sad seeing how little Stannis cared about Renly. I was like at least Loris is grieving him lol.

“the episode just started!” cracked me up i fucking hate theon’s dad he may have earned the shittiest dad award which in this show is saying a lot. i don’t really like the iron islanders either. the red god is most likely the lord of light that melisandre worships. the pyromancer showing tyrion the wildfire is played by roy dotrice who read the audiobooks. RIP to him fr dracarys means dragon fire in valyrian! you saying “we don’t care about him (drogo)” cracked me up bc same qarth is in essos, look up a map and you’ll see! in the book stannis basically says he was sleeping while renly died but he dreamt of killing him, so you’re more right about him doing it personally than you think. he expresses extreme guilt in the book though, not so much in the show
