Chapter 5 - Who fell?

Summary: A school day turns deadly when Tony uncovers a hidden war—and refuses to back down

Tony picked up his bag the moment he heard the bell and began heading out of the classroom while checking his phone.

He saw his dad's message 'Need help closing the deal. The client would like to meet you in the park Saturday afternoon. Does it work for you?'

Tony sighed a little, but sent his dad confirmation, nonetheless. He just put his phone back in his pocket when a voice behind him called "It was an impressive display, Stark-san."

Tony turned to see Gremory and Himejima standing together behind him. He gave them his usual smirk and said "Was it? I've been solving things like that since I was six years old."

Both their eyes widened in further shock as the red-head said "I see." She then shook her head and with a large smile introduced herself "Where are my manners? My name is Rias Gremory."

Tony already knew it, but still he waited for the black-haired beauty to say "And I'm Akeno Himejima."

Tony gave both of them a nod and said "It's nice to meet you two."

Before anyone could say anything further a familiar and annoying voice called out "Hey you bastard! Because of you our window to paradise is now forever closed and now you have the nerve to speak with our two great ladies."

The bald guy from before was charging down the hallway straight toward him. Tony just rolled his eyes and turned half his body toward him, but before he could do anything a wooden sword smacked the charging kid in the face.

The blonde girl from before stepped up and said "You dealt with the idiot for us Stark-senpai, let me get my chance at him now."

Tony smirked and said easily "Have at him."

"Sta..." He heard Gremory's voice trying to warn him, but JARVIS was much quicker "Two hostiles coming from the back."

Without even turning around Tony took a large step sideways and put out a leg so the two running silently toward him would fall flat on their faces. Which they did.

He turned back to his two classmates to see Himejima blush a little while Gremory looked very intrigued and impressed.

A shout of "Senpai!" caused Tony to turn and see the bald fool with a bloody nose and a lot of bruises running toward him with fist raised—just before he reached him he yelled "You pay son of a bi...AGH"

Tony saw red and had no intention of letting him finish that sentence. The moment he was within reach Tony lifted the fool by his throat before walking a few steps and slamming him into the nearest wall.

The boy kept thrashing in the air, but froze when Tony snarled at him "You speak like that about my mom again and I promise you will never have the chance to perv on another girl again. Are we clear?"

Utterly terrified the boy nodded aggressively, and as his face began turning blue Tony let go of him and he fell butt first on the floor.

Tony didn't spare anyone a second thought while saying "Excuse me." And leaving the building.

He knew he would be the talk of the school now, but it was something that was left with him from his previous life as well. If someone insulted his mom they would earn the retribution of Tony Stark. And in this life since he got to spend every day with that wonderful woman he got even more protective he supposed. He needed to be careful with that—he didn't want to turn into a Rogers type of person.

The rest of the day was a little awkward. The boys began glaring at him, why he wasn't sure. And the girls had been staring at him with respect—he even heard a few refer to him as 'The king of Kuoh Academy' which he himself thought was a tad overdramatic, which should really say something.

As Tony began walking out of the school, ignoring all the whispering and stares—he was used to it, he was Tony Stark after all.

As he walked through the gate he stopped when he saw a black-haired girl, wearing casual clothes, running toward the brown-haired boy from the perverted trio.

Tony watched as the brown kid himself was confused as the black-haired teen asked excitedly "Are you Issei Hyoudou?"

After the boy, Hyoudou, confirmed his identity still as confused as Tony as to why this girl was talking with the pervert, she went on and asked with the same level of enthusiasm "Will you be my boyfriend?"

Tony began choking on air—what the fuck did she just say?! Hyoudou seemed to be shocked as well. When he opened his mouth Tony hoped he was smart enough to not agree right away to a suspicious offer like that.

Hyoudou's glance slipped to the girl's chest and he smiled widely and accepted her offer easily. Tony face palmed—of course the pervert would have a low count of brain cells.

The girl smiled widely and kept her upbeat tone "Great, my name is Yuuma Amano, let's have a date this Saturday."

Hyoudou gave her a quick nod and the girl left with a large smile that unsettled Tony. Tony could just shake his head as he left Hyoudou standing there in a daze with a dumb smile on his face.

For a short moment Tony considered talking with the pervert and explaining to him why just going along with this date could be a bad idea, but in the end he chose against it thinking that if this whole thing was a prank at the pervert's expense it just might teach him a lesson about respecting women.

After all, what was the worst that could actually happen?

Wearing a tailored three piece suit, his Iron-glasses (as he chose to call them in this timeline), his smart-watch on his left wrist and his CEO smirk, Tony shook the hand of the man in front of him as they stood in the restaurant where they were eating.

The man across from him was relatively young, in the end of his 20's and had a large smile on his face "Didn't think old man Stark would send the Futurist to close this deal, but I'm sure glad he did."

Tony kept his smirk on—he didn't actually enjoy this sit down, this man was far too greedy for his tastes but appearances had to be maintained "Well he did do his part in making sure the smartest man on the planet was born, so he does have his own brains."

Once upon a time Tony would take delight in dissing on his father like that, but now it just left a bitter taste in his mouth.

The other man laughed and said wholeheartedly "I can't wait to make business with you Tony Stark."

Tony felt lucky he had so many years of experience in maintaining his smirk in place, his voice was polite "I'm sure we will meet again soon enough."

The man nodded happily and both parted ways. Tony decided to walk back home—he wanted to shake off the bad mood this meeting left him in. At least Tony got all the permits he was after in this meeting, so he could console himself with that.

As he walked through the park he noticed Amano and Hyoudou walking hand in hand toward the big fountain.

Huh, what do you know, maybe Tony was actually wrong about that... before he could finish this thought JARVIS spoke "Sir, I didn't have enough time to conclude the sort of her presence before, but now it is clear she has a magical signature as well."

Tony frowned at the walking couple—that would make three he found in one day, it was worrisome "Is her signature as strong as Gremory's?"

JARVIS was quiet for a moment before answering "No. She is considerably weaker..." his tone then shifted into a hurried one "Sir. A presence with larger magical signature is approaching from above to your location, this signature is almost on Gremory's level."

Tony wished he knew what that standard meant or what even magical presence meant in this world.

He looked upward and his eyes widened considerably—up there was a male, looking to be in his mid 20's with buzz-cut hair, and shaved face. What he was wearing was odd enough as it looked like some kind of old-school battle clothing, but what drew most of Tony's attention were the four black feathered wings coming from his back and allowing him to float in place.

His gaze was stern as he called out "Raynare!"

The girl, who introduced herself as Yuuma but was likely lying, looked up in surprise and Tony caught the flash of fear passing on her face before she bowed her head respectfully "Belmorth-sama."

The stern guy looked down with crossed arms and said "Just kill him already and let's move on, we have more important plans."

The girl nodded curtly and replied dutifully "Yes sir."

In a flash of light the persona of Yuuma was gone—in her place was a woman in barely any clothing and a pair of black wings on her back as well.

Raynare gave her so called boyfriend a sneer "I'm sorry Issei but you have to die now, if you want someone to blame, then look at the god that put that sacred gear in your soul."

Tony knew nothing good was going to happen after a statement like that and he was already running toward his underclassman. And tackled him out of the way of what looked like a light spear Raynare threw at him.

Tony left the boy on the ground and got quickly back to his feet, while doing so he double tapped the screen of his watch allowing the nanites to cover his hand and form the Iron Man gauntlet.

Raynare looked in outraged shock and screeched "Who the hell are you?"

Tony smirked and raised his left arm toward her, he charged his repulsor to a high degree intensity and smirked at her "Tony Fucking Stark."

With that he opened his palm and released the blast from his repulsor—Raynare was caught off guard by surprise, she raised what looked like a magical circle to protect herself, but his blast broke through it and hit her square in the chest.

The woman fell to the floor and didn't move. Before Tony could enjoy his victory JARVIS called out in his ear "Above!"

Tony rolled out of the way just before the light spear hit the ground he was on a moment before. While doing so he tapped the soles of his elegant shoes, allowing them to transform into metal boots.

The guy from before clicked his tongue in the sky and said in an annoyed voice "Defeated by a human, how shameful. Zakariel will be most displeased."

Okay, so they weren't humans, or at least didn't consider themselves as ones—that was what Tony took away from that statement.

Tony took that moment of opening and using the boots he just prepared to launch himself toward the Belmorth.

The crow was shocked by this development, probably thinking he was safe in the sky, and he was—that's why Tony had to take the advantage away, so while the other guy was surprised Tony punched his head with his metal covered fist.

Belmorth cried in pain and landed on the floor with a thud. Another burst from his boots and Tony landed easily and safely on the ground right in front of Hyoudou, who was still laying on the ground himself.

Tony let out a sigh when the large guy used his wings to jump back to his feet quickly and screamed "I will not be defeated by a lowly human like yourself. I will kill you and then the other boy!"

Tony again charged his repulsor and waited for the right moment—Belmorth was moving with a speed no naked human eye could see, but this was not the first opponent with superior speed Tony fought, and his eye wasn't naked.

Thanks to his glasses he could clearly see the movement of his enemy. Unfortunately, this one seemed to be bent on killing the two of them and hinted at further no less ominous plans, leaving Tony with only one possible option.

For Tony's plan to work he had no choice but to tank the punch of his enemy, which packed a lot more power than Tony predicted, and while thanks to the Vibranium fiber of his modified uniform he didn't die or even break anything he could still feel it really painfully.

Still Tony didn't lose focus and the moment his palm was on the man's chest he discharged the blast.

Belmorth was forced back, his eyes wide with shock—he looked down and saw the small hole in his chest, where his heart should be. He looked back at Tony and asked with blood coming out of his lips "How... What are you?"

Tony was doubled over in pain himself, but he managed to smirk and responded with a condescending tone "Like you said, I'm a human."

Belmorth let out a choked voice before he fell on his back, not moving anymore.

Tony fell to a knee and groaned in pain. At least it was over now.
