World Building Prompt: Ancient Culture Markers

The people long since gone and the culture conquered by others, nothing remains to explain exactly what these markers mean and locals all have their own theories. These markers should be made of something that could withstand the test of time and not have a natural looking formation (so it can't be easily dismissed). Real world examples are the Easter Island statues, pyramids, and of course, Stonehenge.
