I meant to post this here when it was done like, TWO WEEKS AGO but y'know whatever, I guess better late than never I guess. But that's a whole new webcomic.
The webcomic we're discussing now is LoJR- and what I have here is more background work for it- notably, the Resort (or "Resaurtia*" as it's tentatively named. I may come up with something better later in time for it's appearance in my NEXT comic.)
The gist behind this is Sauria, neutral ground in the Cornerian/Venomian wars because of it's indigenous intelligent lifeforms and considered off limits by both sides**, is the site of billionaire Franklin Remmington Devlin-Cowles' own RESORT. For other millionaires and billionaires, looking for a relaxing place to vacation at during the war.
The actual resort is tucked away on a remote island, far away from any Sharpclaw settlement and hundreds of miles from the nearest shoreline: that said, on this island is an abandoned Temple, hundreds, if not a thousand years old or more which has undergone a billion-dollar renovation to give it all the luxurious amenities you'd expect from a 5-star resort on Corneria or Fortuna- except for external phones or external internet- the resort has it's own network, but it's strictly for internal use.
The 20 employees include "specially-picked volunteers" from tribes scattered around the globe- the best-looking (as per mammal standards) lizards the planet could offer- they fulfill the role of housekeepers and support staff any good resort needs, as well as adding an exotic, local flavour Franklin's guests find exhilarating.
Each volunteer has undergone a medical screening, and had subdermal cybernetic translator implants surgically installed that allow them to understand their guests, as well as personal trackers, though they were not aware of the latter.
Their housing is off the temple grounds itself, in a hidden bay where they are fed, housed, and otherwise cared for. Unbeknownst to Franklin, whom they consider to be their new "Clan Leader," they've found a network of underground hot springs nearby- it's kept a strictly guarded secret, and the staff consider it an employment perk.
And finally, yes, the employees do fulfill the role of "consort" on occasion, when they strike a guests' fancy. Often such acts are considered part of the job, but the Saurians have learned that they can get a number of offworld gifts if they imply that tipping is expected, and not covered by the hotel. Simple things, like clothing, chocolate bars, jewelry, tend to go far, but some have taken to collecting books and trying to learn more about the worlds beyond their own.
Franklin has also had dinosaurs airlifted in: Earthwalkers were the main draw, but he somehow also managed to bring in a single high-top: The Hightop, Oscar, is dumb as a rock and quite content with wandering the beaches, seeing the new people, and eating his fill of fruits and vegetables.
The Earthwalkers, in their tradition of guarding temples, are content to continue guarding this dead one, but are rankled a bit as their ancient enemies, the Sharpclaw, are allowed to enter freely.
There are a small number of Cloudrunners on the island as well but short of hanging a net around the island, there's really no way to keep them away.

*Okay, so I guess we're technically, not discussing LoJR, but we're talking about what comes after it: the Legend of Not-Jenny and Not-Renamon, a XXX Porn Parody (another tentative name). As I'll be making up a slew of other planet names, this planet may no longer be Sauria. But Reptile-vania or something clever.
