Back in August, Darq Side member Annoying (@Lazereth on Discord) messaged me with some refinements to the Storm color theme that worked better with the overall look and feel. Storm, if you have not checked it out, is a very flat, very minimalist UI theme or "skin" that can be applied to DarqUI from the Themes page of the utility.
While we were discussing the fixes, I mentioned that Storm was actually developed as a clean set of base graphics files to make it easier for players to build their own themes. And since he was already involved with making some nice changes, I joked to Annoying that he should just go ahead and make a complete Lazereth theme. He took me up on it!
Over the next couple of weeks, with aesthetic input from Darq Side member Drax, he brought us a new UI theme that I think you're going to really enjoy using. Click the screenshot above to get a feel for this stylish, tasteful skin.
To get the Lazereth theme into your game, check for updates and "Accept" the theme, which is listed along with the other themes near the bottom of the file list. Click the Update Files button, then select it on the Themes page in the utility. And that's all there is to it! Any of the available font options will work nicely, although Annoying suggests using the Arial font (shown in the screenshot) as its simplicity matches the spirit of Lazereth.

You'll be interested to know that Annoying has a bit of a pedigree when it comes to UI files in the EverQuest realms. Check out this blast from the past from the days before EverQuest II!
