Battalion Seasons Display
Added 2023-08-20 20:16:21 +0000 UTCEven if you don't consider yourself a "hardcore" EverQuest II player, you're most likely chasing the seasonal Battalion Buff that improves some of your more desirable stats over time. The Battalion system is not exactly the most intuitive, and many threads have been posted in an attempt to sort it all out. [1] [2] [3] [4]
One aspect of understanding the Battalion Buff is knowing which season each of your unlocked mercenaries is associated with. The Character window has not been much help up to now. You can check the Battalion Buff tooltip on your current mercenary's details page:
Instead of loading and unloading mercenaries to determine their seasons, or tracking them in yet another spreadsheet, we now have a quick way to get seasonal information for many mercenaries right in the All Mercenaries list.
When you visit the All Mercenaries page in the Character window, it won't look any different initially. Click the button shown above to load up Battalion season info for many of the most commonly hired mercenaries.
As you open and close the Character window you may need to refresh the seasonal display by clicking the button again. Some PCs experience a noticeable lag when displaying the icons, so the decision was made not to automatically display them. A fresh listing is always just a click away.
At this point we have a total of 82 mercenaries from the last five seasons catalogued, up to and including Antiquitas. The data comes from census, from mercenary tokens acquired in the Marketplace, the broker, and around the world of Norrath.
