Here's another super-nice convenience feature suggested by one of our Darq Side members. If you've ever used the Inventory page in the DarqUI utility to track and search your character inventories, houses, mounts, etc., then you'll want to check this one out.
Until now, keeping your characters' inventory logs current meant remembering to hit the button in the Character window at some point during your game session. But now you can configure the UI to run an inventory whenever you log out or switch to a different character. Hands-free, uncomplicated and convenient!
The best time to log your characters' inventories is when they are logging out, so Auto-Inventory uses the first ten seconds of camping time for that. As with the manual button (which is still around of course) the routine switches to a custom file for logging inventory so it doesn't clutter up your chat log, then returns to your previous logging state when it's done. Auto-Inventory works in the background and won't interfere with your logins/logouts.
If you've never used the DarqUI Inventory feature before, now is a great time to take a look at it. You can use the utility to search for a lost piece of gear or house item on any or all of your characters without having to log in to each one separately. You can track and do lookups on your gear, wardrobe, mounts, familiars, houses and guild hall. You can even use it to load up your character specs at EQ2U and DragonsArmory.
Thanks to Lhaffinatu for the suggestion and for testing the feature! I think you're going to like having all of your characters up-to-date without having to do anything. If you want to bypass inventory logging temporarily without disabling the feature, that's easy: just use the old-fashioned /camp commands. Auto-logging only happens when you use the Shutdown (Camp) window.
