Scrollbars

Scrollbars have presented an interesting challenge since the beginning of the 2K/4K project, because they don't scale up the same way as other elements. Due to their complexity the graphics must be in the UI at full size. This is why your nice big L/XL windows have had scrawny little normal-size scrollbars. I always swore up and down I'd never get involved in creating new graphics for DarqUI, but if you've checked for updates lately you may have noticed some new custom DDS files coming in.

As an initial test, Character and Quest Journal windows are outfitted with the new scrollbars for Large (2K) and X-Large (4K) sizes. Version 3.1.2.6 is the only version that will make all of this work. The rest of our L/XL components will soon get the big-boy treatment.

Extras

Up to now, offering L/XL versions of DarqUI files has been straightforward, since the updater knows how to handle versioning for its own mods.  But what about files that DarqUI does not otherwise modify, like for example the Knowledge book?  There's a whole slew of UI pieces in this category that our members want to upsize, but putting each one of them into the list would make updates unnecessarily complex. Utility v3.1.2.6 has some new smarts that bundle all of the unmodded files into one easy package.

The updater has a new "Extras" line that can contain multiple files. It starts out at Default size (D), meaning no additional files in your folder. Scroll down to Extras and choose L or X just like anything else. The utility will extract the entire package all at once. To go back to normal size, set the package file to size D (EQII default) and it will remove the upsized extras which returns them all back to their defaults.

DarqUI Notify

If you use the notifier app to check for updates automatically, you can replace your old one to stop the annoying yellow message.
