January 2025 - Day 6.1 - 2 Juryo matches

First up is Juryo4 Shishi (4-1) taking on J5 Shimanoumi (0-5).
Then we see J5 Aonishiki (4-1) facing off against J2 Shiden (1-4).

I am stoked about Aonishiki. He has amazing potential and with his rise this early in his career he is set up to make Ozeki. I really enjoy his style too... Strong forward press to off balance his foes and set up strong throws. Good Sumo!

2025-01-17 13:05:44 +0000 UTCThanks for including a Shiden match! Given the circumstances of his first Juryo promotion, I was delighted, that he was able to gain that promotion a second time and was become a Juryo mainstay, even if a Makuuchi promotions seems to be beyond him!
