I'll do my best to be there but it'll be 6am my time and I'm not a morning person lol 😆 I have more of a silly question - have you ever been on any of the military bases in Japan and if so, why? And if not, would you want to? My dad was in the Navy and we were stationed in Yokosuka from 2000-2003 (so middle and high school for me). It always felt like a different world on base! I always wished I explored more of Japan when I was there. I definitely didn't take the time to appreciate being there as a kid.

Hi Chris, I was curious if you'd ever seen the 1966 film Walk Don't Run. It takes place during the 1964 Tokyo Summer Olympics and was actually filmed on location in Japan. It also happens to be Cary Grant's final film. Being from the 1960's, there's a little bit of racial stereotyping, but I don't think anything too egregious. They actually have Japanese/Japanese American actors playing the Japanese characters, so that's a plus. The writing is quite witty and the story centers around a British man visiting Japan. I'd be interested to get your impression.

Heya; Do you ever cook (not including Abroad in a Pan lol), and what Japanese dish would you recommend to get a taste of Japan that can be made in the UK. Also, do ever worry that you're moving from your high quality, documentary style (longer) videos, towards something shorter and 'main stream' (no offence) which from the outside, is a little bit what it looks like the channel is leaning towards? I honestly don't mean to be condescending or negative (I have ADHD and am told sometimes I come across that way), I am just thinking constructively/ long term, because looking at the other YouTubers you are close with, obviously they have a different style (e.g. Connor/ ビデくん and all his memes), and I wonder if that's having any influence on video topic decisions/ style, because I - and I'm sure a lot of other people - really appreciate and enjoy the contrast of (sarcastic) humor and comedy in the presentation of these amazing places, foods and even ideas Japan has to offer. Specifically; your longer-form content is consistently impressive, professional, detailed, has the gravitas and quality of an experienced film maker/ cinematographer, and of course is enjoyable. I understand it's not always viable, but hopefully with the growing number of supporters on Patreon, we can all see more of your most excellent content. Not that I'm trying to blow smoke up anyone's arse ahaha To end on a positive note, I genuinely hope there is so much more to come (especially now you're moving, I wonder if that will help being more central/ near more things?) and I think we can all agree, we'll be looking forward to it! 😊
