HNNNNG GOSH THIS PIN DESIGN GAVE ME A HARD TIME.
I know these were posted on twitter this past week so its not EXCLUSIVE patreon content, but my words are! Figured I'd just explain the process here with this pin cause it was a journey xD
So I really wanted to get on the trend of making 'After Dark' sort of pins. Basically pin designs that are pretty suggestive and..well..furry.
My LOVELY partner, Dash/Foxjump suggested I should do some sort of design with the words 'Pin Me' seeing as its pretty hilarious that it can be taken literally..it being a pin and all xD
SO WE WENT WITH THAT. I grabbed my ipad and began sketching right away. We both agreed on the pose for this. What we needed to figure out was the expression cause that would definitely be what sells the pin. I like to think I'm pretty good at expressions, even in the simplest forms, and right away we decided it was good.
Now came the words.
THE WORDS UGH.
Seriously, it gave me the MOST trouble when it came to designing this pin.
I definitely wanted it to be clear and eligible to read, especially since Im getting the words filled with glitter enamel.
We tried the skinny font, which I still like, but looking into it the more I tweaked it, I realized it'd be very tricky to pull off. It'd make the pin more fragile seeing how thin it is. The spaces in between the letters would need to be cut..both and extra charge and VERY tedious task. We decided to ditch this design in the end for sure.

Next, Dash tried his hand with the font and decided having the words inside an arc would be best. No cutting through required, and it'd be more sturdy of a pin. I liked it! But it didn't seem complete to me, so I took the file back and fiddled around with it some more.

FINALLY we got to a design we both liked. DURR, the arc makes it look like bed frames, why not make the lynx lying on a mattress? SO WE DID THAT AND IT WORKED, HAHA! It definitely got the suggestive message across more easily, now than ever, and I just LOVE words that form into the design. So it was the best of both worlds.

Took the design after this, finalized the colours, cleaned it up a bit, and VOILA complete!
Preorders were a FLYING success too! Managed to fund the pin within a week, so right now it's currently in production and is set to be ready by the end of August! I've seen a preview of the glitter enamel to be used and its GORGEOUS! I really can't wait to see these pins in person <3
