More work in progress of a commission for Mochalattefox of their super cute vixen character enjoying a fall day!
MFF put me on a backlog with art so unfortunately I'm still pumping out commissions from my November queue x_x
Also doesn't help that I've hit a few pot holes in my art lately, ehh, but I think I'm liking where its going right now. It's not a HUGE change, but I find myself not worrying much about details and just kinda shaping out my characters in my drawings more.
For my full time job, I'm working on a tv show that is done linelessly, and it makes me think more in shapes and silhouettes vs details, and I'm now trying to get into that mindset with my own art too.I'm trying to stick to the looseness of my sketches vs making them clunky and loosing their energy as I ink. (Maybe I should start off working lineless in tones, then ink it after...though that's going to slow me down A LOT by doing that x_x But I'll try it for personal art, perhaps (: )
This one is a bad example cause the sketch for this one was rather clunky, and now having this piece inked, the lines make it look more smooth and alive...if that makes any sense xD Hopefully the client is cool with that, haha!
Also playing more with line weight. Thick and thin lines are great when you want the weight really defined in an area of a drawing.
So yeah, thought I'd give you guys an updat esince I've only ever done maybe one line/ink wip post before? So here's another!
