Did Robin hire Cursula to curse him and make him forget that he did? Because he gets off on being girly but can't stand to admit it, even to himself. He asked the hyenas to bully him and they happily obliged because they actually LIKE him! But he's been made to forget that too. The plot would thicken.

Not that that's a bad thing, of course. Rush has, intentionally or not, made Robin into an incredibly compelling character, and a decent deconstruction of the entire genre of 'force-femme' erotica.

I think it has a lot to do with examining just how awful his life is- when he was just a grumpy femboy who got dressed up by some hyenas every now and then it wasn't too bad- but now he's a dude with no friends, no job prospects, who has been abused and disrespected by practically everyone around him for his entire life, and who is now being magically gaslit into becoming the very thing he has been tormented over all these years- Yeah, it's a little harder to laugh it off.

It's strange how when it was a few one-off comics here and there, Robin's misery was a great source of hilarity! But now that it's more constant we're starting to feel sorry for him. I guess the occasional turning of the tables would actually work now!

If the victim is just some random schmuck, then I'm the kind of easily-guilted person that feels bad about the lack of consent even if it's just a fictional cartoon animal character. If the victim is an absolute JERK, however, I'm willing to let it slide.
