What makes a character relatable?
Added 2019-05-14 08:59:52 +0000 UTCI'm pretty confident that most people who play the game are going to find Vicki to be a vary relatable character, which is great because I want players to get invested in the character and immersed in the story but it does make me wonder what exactly makes a character relatable?
There are very few characters that I find relatable but there are many characters that I like so I know a character doesn't have to be relatable to necessarily be a good character.
What are some characters that you find relatable?
A couple relatable characters for me are
Morgana from "The Pirates Fate"
Chise from "The Ancient Magus Bride"
Iori from "Kokoro Connect"
And maybe Tohru from "Fruits Basket"
Most of these characters have negative events in their pasts with character flaws that are "Unfortunately" Oddly relatable, which drew me into the character or story.
Millions of people love Goku from DBZ but few other then my bro would find him to be a relatable character. What are some characters that you find relatable? How often do you find the characters you like also have things or characteristics in common with you?
