The last rough sketch of the month.  I left this very rough before posting, showing the 'shoulder and hip' tubes that I usually use.  Drawing tubes instead of boxes for the entire form suits me better, as it let's me visualize twists in bodies and the like.

The pic is far from done.  The pair won't be in the buff in the final version, this was just roughing in where they would be standing and trying to get a sense of scale again.

I also used some 3D elements again.  I wanted to try something with curved walls.  As if they ascended stairs in a turret so I had set up a pair of simple cylinders to make up the central pillar, and the outside curve of the wall.  I'm getting past my hesitation of using 3D in images, especially when it comes to more complex images like this, as it saves hours and hours of work.

The rest of the month will be working on finishing the colours for Sleet's image that I inked last time, as well as getting the patron sketch and commission work finished.  I had to take a few personal days as I had some life-matters suddenly come up.  But barring any more surprises I finally have time free again.

Remember to eat your beets, folks.

I admit, there are times I wish I could play them through some of their adventures as well. I miss TTRPG's like that sometimes. But at least for now, I can follow them around as they discover more of the world. Sometimes it even surprises me.

I really like the contrast of heights among the characters. And that place feels like an authentic dungeon. I wish these were characters I could play as and a place I could explore with them!

I run a Flickr group dedicated to religious buildings, shrines and churches called Houses of the Holy. The plaque reminds me of many of the memorials in some older churches, particularly the English ones. Different universe, similar ideas, I suppose.

It looks like the horse is shrinking and turning into the short girl just by how they're arranged and how the horse and guy in the middle are so ghostly looking :)
