The patron sketch for.. September?? Indeed, very late. The image was caught at the end of the sketch stage by the chaos of the last four months, and I cannot thank Reya's creator enough for being patient while I tried to put out all the fires going on in my life.
I always love drawing wolves. They're what I started drawing way back in the 90's and I still like exploring different cultures of the woof-variety. Reya, as I understand it, grew up with human parents, and runs a bath-house in a more desert-like area these days. At day's end, she gets to have a soak in one of the hot-tubs, have some wine, some cheese, and just let the sound of nightfall and breezes in palms drift in through the windows.
Wolves are going to be a bit of a theme for the next image as well. I guess I'm on a bit of a bark-kick lately. Though there is a certain equine who'd really like her story to get under way as well.
Things seem to have settled down a bit for now. No guarantees what the next few months might bring, but at least for now things are quiet and I can just noodle around with art again.
