The Wheel Turns, But is on Fire.
Added 2022-10-26 19:31:32 +0000 UTCI had hoped to have the inked Halloween-esque picture posted by now, but will need another day or so.
My father, for whom I'm a permanent caregiver for, is in a Cardiac unit at the hospital.
On Monday he nearly collapsed, and couldn't catch his breath at all, complaining of feeling like a horse was sitting on his chest.
There's still no official word of what is going on until more tests are done, so he'll be residing there for a while. He's had a heart problem for years now, that was managed, but this was always something that could come up. Even if it was an 'expected' event, nothing quite prepares you for it just suddenly happening like a light-switch going on.
I've had my schedule knocked back a few days, as I'm running back and forth to visit him, and keeping my family informed.
I don't expect to get much new art produced, as this ripped a lot of the wind out of my 'creative sails', however as strange as it might sound, I should be able to get a fair bit of inking/colouring done. Inks and colours are just a process rather than something that needs inspiration to do (At least in my case). Things are at least stable with my father for now, so barring any sudden shift, I suddenly have... a lot of time.
I've been a caregiver for so many years now that I find it hard to get my brain to stop screaming 'Things need to be done, things need to be scheduled, pills need to be sorted and distributed!' Suddenly I'm left to my own devices for the first time in nearly a decade and its.. weird. Not bad, just weird, and takes some getting used to.
I'll try and keep on top of things, and we'll see how the days ahead fare. I thank you all for being patient.
