Haunty Tea.

I'm sorry posts have been a bit slow for the first part of the month. We're still in this transition period regarding my father's health. There's just this string of complications going on with him, and he's still in the hospital as entire teams (plural) try to assess how he's doing, and I've been going back and forth to visit him.

It could be another couple weeks of trying to figure things out. Whether he can come back home with medical assistance (probably the best scenario) or if he needs to go into a place that is 24 hour care. I had to be assessed as well, since I'm the solitary caregiver, they need to know how capable I am to look after him. Everything from 'If you weren't around due to work or incident, how would he do on his own' and sadly that would be 'not well at all. To asking if I have a support network myself because it's a LOT to take on in his case.'

I also picked the most complicated kind of picture to attempt for the spook month. I think part of why I went so crazy with this sketch was because it offered me an escape into the details with characters and people I loved, in a space I'd like to hide out in.. Even with the undead.

The picture itself is Cinders and Sherdaylyn this time around, handing out haunted 'booberry' tea and treats to the restless souls of the Charholm. One of the traditions they have, perhaps reminding those souls that someone remembers them.

I'm reminded that at some point, if I ever find the time again, I'd like to write about the Reixa people, as shifters, of their diaspora, and subsequently finding a home back in the nations of their ancestral people.

I apologize in advance, I'm going to be drawing a lot of Cinders this month. She's artistic comfort food for me, so there will be more than a few sketches featuring her.

I will also be sending out the next Patron-illustration note to the next person on the list. It will be, as always, a little slow as I deal with the current medical situation, but it'll get done.

Hoping people have a good spook-month.

That's the option my father likes best. Where he can be at home with some extra care. So far he's deemed to be okay to stay home, so we'll be applying for some extra help once all of the followups are done with. It's been a long month :)

Thank you! Things are still a bit chaotic, but my father is back home. While it doesn't give me much more free time, its at least one less worry with him lingering in a hospital.

Thank you :). Its been pretty therapeutic to get to spend some time drawing in the head-world. I'm hoping to spend a bit more time there this week to finish off the 'spook month'.

For your father - I have been there, done that. Apply for a Home health aid. The woman who helped Me with Mom was a true God Send.

Oh, no! More Cinders? What ever shall I do? Enjoy, that's what. I hope the Revenant and the Deer-ly Departed enjoy their Spooki Tea. No one who is remembered ever truly dies.

I love the gravestones. I'm a dark, cemetery person anyway and that looks like a great place to escape to. And the look on Sherdaylyn's face is priceless. Thank you TJ for reminding why I love this time of year. And I hope you and yours find some peace too.

Very best wishes. Do what you need to do for yourself and for your family; don't forget to balance the two. Thank you for sharing all of this with us and for posting such lovely artwork.

Thank you for all you still do for us even while you've got so much going on in your life, TJ.
