Road's End Home (roughs)
Added 2021-09-08 22:34:15 +0000 UTCA really rough sketch of an idea I had of the 'trio' (gnome, lorrnath and khettu) arriving back at their home-town.
I like the idea that the three have homes in or near a township. I personally started to get a bit bored of the 'wandering explorers who have no home, and live out of motels despite having power and heaps of money.' that sometimes becomes a permanent theme with fantasy parties.
Its not a _bad_ theme, mind you. Its just one that I've seen so many times now (In games, in stories, in hundreds of RPG settings) that I've kind of wanted to imagine something new. This trio have their own homes. Even though they wander, and explore far and wide, they have places to come home to. When the autumn hits, most sane people not trying to save the world would probably want to find a place to bunk down for the winter.
I'm unsure if this will ever be completed. These three are definitely more 'my thing' more than other's. But if I ever have the time to just paint for days again, this might be on the list. I can imagine it with fall colours just starting to creep in.

It's hard to tell from the sketch. Is the <i>Hathee</i> live or is he a commemorative statue? Absolutely, having a home to return to beats pointless, endless wandering. I remember seeing a two-car garage on my way to work every day with a sign over the doors that read <b>ROAD'S END</b>.

Trudging through the frozen tundra trying to save Skyrim's ungrateful citizens from those infernal giant flying lizards chills this one to the bone. We would much rather be back home in Elsweyr.
