Spings (sketch)
Added 2021-07-18 00:03:44 +0000 UTCIt's been a bit of a wild month in these parts. Whatever wasn't cooking alive in obscene temperatures was on fire and billowing smoke, and we've seen so little rain that the leaves are falling off the trees and the lawn is nearly dead.
But today I got a rare chance to sketch again. I chose a bit of a nightmare idea to try and get into the swing of drawing again. An image with four people, at two distances, of very different heights. I'm not sure why I was masochistic enough to want to draw a gnome woman, a lorrnath, a Khettu (vulpine guy) and an Ithskaari (The draconic lady) all in one picture, but it did ensure that I got some cobwebs out.
With hope the weather will give a few more days to let me get some artwork done. I'm far behind but it could be worse, everything still works and didn't melt.

The last time we saw the Lorrnath, gnome and Khettu trio, they were in some kind of tourist spa. This looks like a lovely place as well, but they must be on the road again with all their supplies placed around the tree. We can also see they're in the habit of helping each other groom after a bath. Which begs the question, has the Khettu gotten the "gnomin'" the Lorrnath joked about earlier? Maybe that's part of why he looks awkward here? And then there's this newcomer Itskharri, who I'm guessing joined up with them at the spa. I think the Ithskarri in the spa drawing was male, but there must have been more of his kind there. She seems to have adapted quickly to nakedness and mutual grooming, if she wasn't already. And finally, "Blimey! That's a wine!" That sounds suspiciously like something Cinders would put on a bottle. Maybe they've had it for a while and were saving it for a special occasion, or maybe at least one native around the spa shares Cinders' goofy nature.
