Tired - Flat Colours

A preview of one of the colour works I'm trying to get done for this month.  I went with a more 'dusk' setting for this, figuring it would be at the end of the workday instead of mid-day.

I may post a bit of Berrand's story when I get more of this done and post the nearer-to-finished results later on in the month.  I've nearly never really talked about him outside a vague sentence or two here and there in the past.

With the 8 day heat wave that utterly wrecked us here last week, everything got pushed back, which to my obsessive brain is quite possibly the worst thing in the world.  I hate having to push things back by weeks, even when I know it was out of my control.

It was so intense, actually, that it wrecked the keyboard of my laptop.  The heatsink sat under where the 'a' and 's' keys were, and basically fried both even though the unit was only on for maybe 10 min.  That's some spicy weather.

All said, I'm working on getting the previous - previous month's patron sketch going as well.  I'm severely late on it, but will try to make up for some time.   Even with a balmy 30C here today, it feels far more workable than the nightmare of breaching 40C.

I honestly can't wait for autumn.

As much as I love seeing Cinders, I'd like to learn more about Berrand's life and background, too. Stories waiting to be revealed.

I love this scene and the setting. And that pipe, very nice!

Until you get dirt caught down in those hard to reach, private bits. Probably why loincloths became popular. ;-)

Doing manual labor while naked might get you nicks and scratches, but it would definitely make heat less of a problem.

40C days are rough, we get them every summer. But I imagine your homes aren't built to deal with it. Do take care of yourself!
