Do you care if there are 'game stats' in world-lore posts?
Added 2021-06-04 19:46:59 +0000 UTCI realized that there was a poll function on this site (Yes, I'm fairly oblivious). I also realized that I'm not sure if my having to go through and strip 'game stat' notes out of posts is really necessary.
I know a lot of folks here don't play ttrpgs, but who might not really care if things like that are provided as long as they don't muddle the whole lore-dump post.

2021-06-04 21:36:42 +0000 UTCI can't blame you. The bees of the world are adorably round and have derpy little eyes, and some are actually conversationalists if you catch them in a good mood. I think any statistics that might find their way into any posts are sort of 'tacked on at the end' though, so hopefully they wouldn't be too disruptive.

2021-06-04 21:12:55 +0000 UTCMuch of the 'stats' stuff tends to either be light notes near the end (from what I'm remembering, most of my notes were 'story first, fiddly bits at the end'. Its rare they mix together outside of the odd instance I'm sure I'm forgetting about.

2021-06-04 21:03:00 +0000 UTCLuckily chasing (most) pumpkins is fairly easy. They tend to be pretty sedentary :)

2021-06-04 21:01:39 +0000 UTCI only hope it doesn't clutter the whole feed. I'll try to keep it digestible at least.

2021-06-04 20:55:13 +0000 UTCOddly the stuff I wrote was pretty close to 2e. I ran a modified 5e with feats/skill stripped (except thief skills, since those are relevant to the class). So it wouldn't too far off of the era. With that said, most of the notes that I made have the lore bits uninterrupted and explained outside of any stat-blocks. (for the most part). It was just gauging to see if the extra bits on the end would be more irritating to people or otherwise.

2021-06-04 20:54:33 +0000 UTCAs a game designer I felt obligated to vote for game stats staying in, but I do also want to chase bumblebees, during or after game.

2021-06-04 20:44:14 +0000 UTCNot being a gamer, the stats do nothing for me. My eyes glaze over and I'm afraid I might miss something important.

2021-06-04 20:20:30 +0000 UTCWe who dwell within the world of Tamriel ask... what are these "game stats" of which you speak. Also... bzzz bzzz. And pumpkins.

2021-06-04 19:49:15 +0000 UTCI don't mind game stats, but they add little for me, and I'm emphatically a paleogamer (TSR era -- Wizards and I are not friends at all), so Wizards-era stats will mean nothing to me. If it was up to me, I'd simply ask that what ideas you share, you share in ways that don't depend on the reader understanding stat blocks -- the ideas in them are also conveyed directly in words, wherever possible. That said, it's your project -- do it your way!
