Dotting 'T's and Crossing 'I's

Over the next couple of weeks I'm hoping to be able to get some of the still in stasis (no relation) art that I've had sitting around finished.

My father's health had gone from bad, to much worse, to now 'stable' for the most part.  I don't expect his health to ever hit 'good' again.  But it can at least be comfortable, and he can at least have a little more mobility as the years wind down.

Its honestly a little hard to believe that its only been a couple weeks since things hit the downward pitch.  It honestly feels like we haven't surfaced in months at this point.

Today was the first day that I had truly 'off' and could afford to just decompress by painting away at the dancing picture, and cleaning up a now very overdue patron-sketch.  I'm hoping to be able to post both over the next little while, as well as some other art bits that have sat on my drive as mere concepts for about 2 months now.

I've also finally decided that I'll be 'restarting' the Tides comic instead of continuing the current version.  Its not due to the first 'draft' being bad, but my artwork has sort of.. Well, advanced?  I don't like using the word, because it can be seen as indicating that the Tides art was somehow 'bad'.  It wasn't.  But my style is much different, including how I do colour work and I really was amazed at how different it looked side by side when I started trying to get familiar with the characters again.

Its also a chance at trying some new story concepts on it that I find I like a little better than the first storyline.

This is all, of course, predicated on how my father's health holds up, but hopefully things will even out a bit for a while and I can once again wander through the head-world and take pictures again.

Thank you all again for your patience through all of this, and for the kind words and encouragement.  You've been an amazing group of peoples :)

A fair chunk of the story will be remaining. There's just some areas where I want to add in some different ideas. The characters will all pretty much be the same though.

I am too. I missed the characters, and drawing otters. They're nature's happy noodles.

Will you be able to keep the old stories and create new illustrations?

Tides! Now that's exciting. I'm looking forward to that. :D
