Sarky Bones - Rough sketch

I realize I have a habit of only posting compositions when all the backgrounds are done, or when the linework is final enough for me to start inking things over. But a lot of 'idea' drawings tend to not get posted simply because they're much like the above: In a very rough/begging state.
However these sketches still do convey an idea. I liked elements of this enough to post, and will be adding in backgrounds to it as well. The trio wandering through a Khulvarri Javarran (wolf folk) town, encountering one of its 'guardians', a javarran flameskull, who decided to sass Raudhan about his size.
I came across a rather nice video featuring a Bulgarian town in the snow that I'll be using as reference for the backdrop. We'll see how far this gets, but even if it doesn't go too far, I can at least show bits and pieces sketches like this, and the idea won't simply be lost to the ether.
