I'm still plugging away at the painted version of 'The Visit'. I had a bout of creative block that took a while to pass, and this is about the third (or fourth.. I have to check my folders) revision and restart of this. Its slow, but it's getting there. A very, very, very general pass at what the lighting might look like, though with heavy tweaks still needed, but at least this pass doesn't look as wonky and over-saturated as the last one did.
As with most everyone, I've had a scramble to 'bunker in' for the foreseeable future. I'm one of the 'susceptible' people, at least in part, due to being pre-hypertensive (treated, but still), so it was basically a mad dash to finish up some work outside the home until I could finally just stay in.
We're in some mad, mad times. Its one of those 'this affects everyone' kind of things, and while our province hasn't had to initiate a lockdown officially, things are looking to head that way.
While a score of other things I do are affected, my work through Patreon and art in general is unaffected (outside getting depressed at the whole situation for a while). Its very much a work from home thing, entirely digital, and as long as the 'net holds up I'll be able to share.
I do, however, realize that people might need to start cutting costs here and there. With work stoppages happening I fully understand that art is going to be one of those things on the 'cutting costs' forefront. I'm in a lucky situation compared to some other artists I've seen who are getting hammered by this. But I know there's likely a bruise coming, but I utterly understand if people drop off. It is imperative that you look after yourself, and those you love first and foremost.
I hope you are all safe, and able to weather through. And while I know it isn't much, I'll keep posting bits of art here, and on FA as well (I still need to find a general art site that isn't a nightmare to be on). I'll still have a couple sketches to share, and hopefully will have this painted by month's end. A bit of spring in the grey.
Stay safe, folks.
