To say the last few days from Friday evening have been 'eventful' would be understating it. While I can't really go into detail, I just hope the rest of the year is a more gentle span of time than it has been for folks.
That said, I'd finished this image as the Patron sketch for January on the 31st but some things had come up that diverted me from doing any posts for a bit.
I was asked to draw an equine guy wandering the fields, shamanistic in a sense, and wearing about as much as the other equine folks I tend to draw, so this was about as 'in my wheelhouse' as a sketch request could get :D
He was dubbed 'Ezra' by his creator, walking the fields, perhaps a follower of the harvest path, asking the elements to be kind to the fields this year in hopes of a good crop. Personally I was even more happy to draw something with a spring-like atmosphere to it. The 'charm' of winter has definitely worn off for me, and spring can't come fast enough.
Hooray for pants-less horses in the spring.
The next patron sketch will be mid-month, as always. I have a few other sketches on the go that I'd like to get done, plus the painting, barring any more craziness that might suddenly crop up.
