Apologies to everyone for going a bit more quiet than usual over the last week. Late on Thursday before heading to bed I felt weirdly 'woozy' and had that 'I know I'm getting sick' feeling.

Friday morning when I woke up it had quickly progressed to the point where I was wildly feverish, and even nearly blacked out while making myself some breakfast, and whatever this alien malaise is, it has dug in with all six claws. I did get a test done in case it was Strep-A but that was negative. It doesn't make it less of a monster though.

It means I've been very slow to get projects underway. This week was going to be the perfect week for staying in and just getting art stuff and map stuff done. It hit -44C here today and has been consistently in the -30C range for the last six days or so. Sadly its turned out to be a real problem with this flu as its turning out that I need to head to the doctors and get it seen to at this point, and staying warm and keeping cold air out of the throat isn't easy with that.

I'm sorry I haven't got another round of sketches up and haven't blocked out the next painting yet folks. I'm even behind on the patron sketch (though the patron in question has been very understanding, which I'm grateful for). I'm hoping to have this looked at in short order this week, and hopefully with that a more solid plan on how to get better. Even if it lets me settle in with a coffee at the art desk and get some sketching done, that would be heavenly.
