Kobold Huntress - Sketchwork

Had a bit of time to sit and sketch out an idea for a character that's been wandering around the edges of my mind.  I haven't a clue what her name is, or where she'll fit, but it helped me figure out a bit about what Kobolds represent on Felwroth. 

They're a race that's largely 'orphaned' by every other.  The Drakharri don't recognize them as even remotely draconic and find it insulting that these 'creatures' claim that they're anything more than 'gnome-sized lizards'.  Dragons barely notice them, despite being worshipped by them, and legends that they were spawned from the 'chroma' of each of dragon-kind.  And most every other race see them as little more than chicken-thieves and a nuisance at best.

Yet they're a complex people.  They worship in hopes to find a 'home' in a pantheon.  Some good aligned dragons have started to allow clans of Kobold's to lair nearby.  They have their own language, but have adopted draconic as 'the holy speech'.  They have a written language in 'cartouche block' style, often with symbols dictating blocks of ideas and sentences.  They can survive in some of the most harsh environments, and are impressively clever when it comes to defense and word-play.

This particular huntress is a warrior in a loose sense of the word.  Her style boils down to 'avoid getting hit, and hit the thing with a stick until it stops trying to hit me OH GODS IT'S CHASING ME!!'  So far it's a style that has served her well enough that she survived and made it to one of the crossroads that serves as a hub for the Bounty Guilds as well as Explorer's Enclave.  Getting a job, though, is not going to be easy.  She's still seen as a pest, despite being clever and cheerful.

On a side-note, I'll be sending out the next sketch-notice tonight as well.  I'm a little late due to taking care of more family health issues.  And they're issues which are only going to require more attention as time goes on.  But I should have some time to finally sit and sketch out a block of stuff before the next round.
