Ethel the Cyborg Ninja has been a test project for this, my biggest release to come out in 2019. Omega Ronin. I wrote it on vacation (with a cold beer in my hand of course.) I'm drawing it now while also wrapping up the Ethel book.
Cue dramatic voice FX and space music... "One billion years in the future the most powerful civilization in the universe encounters something even more terrifying than itself. What happens when the last hope of a dying empire ends up in the hands of primitives?"
Sound awesome? Yes. It looks great too. I think so, but I'm thrilled to see this emerge from my hand (with a shitload of digital assistance but it's still me!)
First issue coming out September-ish. Based on the same template as Ethel with more of a 70s techie art style (if that makes any sense.) No Edit-Station 1 this time around, a bit more serious and really freakin' cool! I have been wanting a dark sci-fi epic space opera for a while and haven't found much lately so I made my own.
Its form is going to evolve and that makes sense with the story (since it can really be any form it wants.) It'll be a black and white series, though I'm tinkering with color cover ideas and concepts as you see above in this rough, early sketch with colors.
